Welcome to TLC Mi-Kis!
What does the “TLC” in TLC Mi-Kis (pronounced Mee-Kee) stand for? Of course, tender, loving, care and that is definitely how we breed and raise our Mi-Kis.
When my partner, Stetson, and I got our first Mi-Ki, Lucy, we had no idea how much we would both fall in love with her. She has the most amazing personality and seems to be a mind reader. Somehow that amazing girl can tell exactly what my family needs and has a special way of giving it to all of us. It didn’t take long for Stetson and I realize that we wanted more Mi-Kis and our family has continued to grow. The love we have for our Mi-Kis and the love we receive in return is so amazing. That is a big part of why we decided to breed Mi-Kis. We want to be able to share that with others.
Mi-Kis are a rare dog breed and can be difficult to find. We live in Michigan and our first Mi-Ki came from Bonnie Thomson at Brumby’s Run in California. Bonnie has been such an amazing resource for us on our Mi-Ki journey. Another part of our reason we decided to start breeding Mi-Kis is that we wanted to promote the breed and make Mi-Kis more widely available.
It is important to us to breed dogs that match the breed standard, as close as possible. We use the Mi-Ki breed standard laid out by the American Mi-Ki Registration Association (AMRA). All of our dogs and their puppies are registered with the AMRA.
It is our privilege to breed and raise Mi-Kis and have those Mi-Kis share their love with their forever families. Whether or not you choose to add one of our Mi-Kis to your family, we hope that you’ll explore our website and learn more about Mi-Kis. If there are any questions that you have, feel free to reach out and I will do my very best to answer them.
